Turnstyle are an Australian indie-rock band formed in 1995 by Adem K and Paul Fanning.\u00a0The first single “Spray Water On The Stereo” gained\u00a0monumental airplay setting the tone, to join tours in coming years with Trans Am, Guided By Voices and their heroes Yo La Tengo.\u00a0They have been\u00a0considering a \u201cbest of\u201d vinyl for several years but with the band\u2019s inclusion in the WA Museum Boola Bardip Innovations gallery for creative process\u00a0using toy\/ domestic keyboards prompted the band to dedicate the release to their Casio-heavy material (including their much loved singles Spray\u00a0Water On The Stereo and Purple Crown).\u00a0The album also included a new unreleased track \u201cWe Ran With The Pack\u201d – a keyboard\/ fuzz fried nostalgia\u00a0anthem about the band\u2019s experience with successful, mainstream artists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
